I frakking remember my brother and I *begging* and *pleading* our parents to get us the ET game!!!
And it seemed to take FOREVER, but we finally got it! (But it was like, less than a week!)
Then we got a copy at a Toys R US…took the endless car-ride home…hardly touched our Happy Meals because we just wanted to go home and try out the game…then, when we *finally* did, we ran inside, eagerly ripped open the packaging, put in the game…
And the “WTF!?” expressions crossed each other’s faces…“Is it broken!?”…“It *must* be broken!?”…
Then the chilling truth sank in our souls…it wasn’t broken..it was *supposed* to be this way…
We had been betrayed.
I think that was the very day I lost my faith in God…
